USNS General Maurice Rose (T-AP-126)

USNS General Maurice Rose was placed in service with the US Navy on March 1, 1950. The troopship was assigned to Occupation Service in Europe. Steaming primarily between New York and Bremerhaven, Germany, she completed more than 150 round-trip voyages. On August 14, 1957, the Rose departed New York for transport duty to Southeast Asia.
